African Women in Tech Conference: Part 2 #AWITGhana

December 11, 2016

Following on from the success of the inaugural African Women in Tech Conference earlier this year in Kenya's capital Nairobi - part 2 is making it's way to us from 15th to 17th December. This time the event will take place in Accra, Ghana.

Like AWITKenya, AWITGhana will aim to be a one of its kind event seeking to provide attendees a unique blend of hands-on and deep-dive tech workshops, information sharing, and discussions by professional women (and men) within the tech space. All aimed at encouraging and mentoring young girls to pursue STEM-based education programmes and careers.

AWITGhana is going to concentrate on all aspects of technology; from the very technical aspects of it to the human experience and application to real-life situations. More detail of the sessions can be found here. The speakers and attendees at the conference will be from many different types of jobs and seniority including college girls to senior executives in companies.

Keynote speakers include Creator of An African City, Nicole Amerteifio and Senior Counsel for Uber Mipe Okunseinde
